EEMUA publishes guide to the production testing of valves

EEMUA, the Engineering Equipment & Materials Users' Association, has published EEMUA Publication 205: A Guide to the Production Testing of Valves for the Energy, Process and related Industries. This new Publication takes the previous four-part series of EEMUA publications on the production testing of valves (EEMUA 170, 171, 172 and 173) and combines them together into a user-friendly format, fully updates the text and includes extended information on test sequences and test times. The Publication has been developed by the valves experts of EEMUA's Piping Systems Technical Committee. EEMUA 205 is available at £47 (plus p&p) by online order, e-mail, phone, fax or post.

EEMUA TankAssessor course brochure now available

EEMUA, the Engineering Equipment & Materials Users' Association, has issued a new brochure for its TankAssessor tank assessment training and competency scheme. The brochure is available in both printed form and as a downloadable file on the EEMUA website (www.eemua.co.uk/t_stanks.htm). EEMUA revises guidance on storage tank frangible roof joints

EEMUA, the Engineering Equipment & Materials Users' Association, has published the 2nd edition of Frangible Roof Joints for Fixed Roof Storage Tanks: Guide for Designers and Users (EEMUA Publication 180). The guide has been revised to significantly extend the advice on ensuring effective frangible roof joints. Also the guide has been updated to refer to the latest European standards. The guide is intended to assist designers and users of fixed roof storage tanks to carry out detailed evaluation on the need for a frangible roof joint, a weak roof-to-shell connection, for safety purposes.
